Privacy policy
ABSTRAHKT is the music project of Chris Leary, based in Cebu City, Philippines ("I", "me"). This policy explains what I collect through abstrahkt.com, why, who helps me handle it, and your choices. Questions: [email protected].
What I collect
What you send me. When you send a session inquiry I receive your name, email address, the service you picked, your budget, deadline, any links you add, and your message. When you join the loop pack list I receive your email address.
Payments. If you book a session, you pay through a Stripe payment link or invoice. Stripe processes your card. I see the payment record (name, email, amount, date), never your full card number.
What your browser sends. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) to deliver the site and block attacks. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across sites. The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam, which checks your browser without asking for personal details.
Music players. Tracks on this site play from this site. If you follow a link to SoundCloud, YouTube, Spotify, Instagram or Facebook, their own privacy policies apply there.
How I use it
- To answer your inquiry, send quotes and invoices, and deliver your session.
- To send the loop pack and occasional emails about new music or loops, only if you joined the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or just reply "unsubscribe".
- To keep records the law requires, and to keep the site and forms safe.
I don't sell your information and I don't share it for anyone else's advertising.
Who helps me run this
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, spam protection, visit counts.
- Abstract CRM: my own customer list, hosted on Railway, where inquiries and signups are stored.
- Resend: sends the confirmation and notification emails.
- Stripe: payments.
- My email provider, for replying to you.
They handle your information only to provide their service to me. Some of them store data in the United States or other countries. I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or someone's safety.
How long I keep it
Inquiries that don't turn into a session are deleted within 24 months. Session and payment records are kept as long as tax rules require, usually seven years. Loop pack list emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop emailing you. Email [email protected] and I'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the Philippines under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, the EU or UK under the GDPR, or California), you may have more rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children under 16, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If I change this policy I'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be noted on the site.
